Escape into the Net

29/04/2006 - Come see my adventures in cyberspace. This blog may tend to have a technical slant to it at times. At others, something I find interesting that I think should be noted rather than one of my other journals. Old description:Come read some accounts of my online adventures in cyberspace, at times you'll cross over into the real world with me too.

Too say that I'm pissed is an understatement. Never ceases to amaze me that there are talented people who put their skills to creating chaos with their skills. The people who write viruses and trojans, must be pretty desperate to get attention.

Recently I was logged into webmail with IE 6 on my own site and I get Porn pop-ups coming in, somehow while IE is running. Makes me suspicious about how these slimeballs are managing to do this. Makes me even more suspicious about how much of IE's DLLs and APIs are exposed when we're surfing the Internet. Nice to know that I don't run into these issues on Mozilla or Firefox.

On top of all this, my HD on my borrowed PC has just decided to get flakey. Which as a result sets me back in my ability to move forward on many things. Oh well, this too shall pass.

Anyways, back to work over here.
